Please be advised that James Shea provides Third Part Administrator services of entering the Return to Duty (RTD) test in the Clearinghouse for non-owner operators. He does not provide Consortium services for owner-operators and does not administer follow-up testing plans.
DOT is now allowing non-owner operators to register as an owner operator for the sole purpose of obtaining the RTD. Upon receipt of payment you will be given instructions on how to re-register. Once your RTD is entered, the Clearinghouse will show: “Your record no longer prohibits you from operating a CMV.” You will be on Step 6. under a follow-up testing plan. Your follow-up testing plan will begin once you are employed as a CDL driver.
You will need to provide a copy of your CDL, and your SAP will need to provide a copy of your SAP evaluation and recommendation, compliance letter and type of return to duty test indicated on your testing plan. Upon receipt of the required documents plan and payment, you will be sent to testing site near you to obtain your return to duty test.
This is a DOT drug test and all testing rules apply
Typically, results are received between one and five business days. Once the negative result is received from the MRO, I will enter the negative test date in the Clearinghouse immediately.
